Esta es la obra de una pareja de pintores alemanes integrada por Hera y Akut, que integrados forman Herakut, su nombre como dupla artística.
Cuando me topé con las primera imágenes de estos pintores me llamó mucho la atención lo sombrío y oscuro de su arte, y el contraste entre la fragilidad, impasividad y languidez de sus figuras humanas, con lo crudo de los elementos animales que forman la otra mitad de su pintura. Zorros, ovejas, ratas, lobos, y otros animales cargados también de fuertes simbolismos, son usuales en su obra, a veces como personajes, por lo general ambiguos y estilizados, pero en la mayoría de los casos como vestuario, principalmente en forma de cascos o sombreros.
Aquí tienen un video que muestra un vista rápida de la instalación que nos ocupa: ‘Dirty Laundry’,una obra compuesta por ilustraciones, pinturas enmarcadas, arte efímero, arte callejero y muralismo.

Como pude apreciarse en el video destaca la paleta de colores que usan en sus obras, ya que en ella abundan los tonos tierra, los colores neutros, algunos pasteles, y prácticamente cero de colores primarios o ‘alegres’, que cuando están presentes lo hacen por lo general como graffitis.
En este segundo video, en el que se muestra a la pareja trabajando puede apreciarse mejor su obra, y además de una manera más amplia, ya que tiene tomas de dos montajes: ‘Dirty Laundry’ y ‘Permission to Paint’.
Este tercer video es sobre ‘Permissio to Paint’, y tiene la particularidad de que ilustra muy bien como estos dos artistas se complementan para dar pie a su obra. Hera es quien trabaja los fondos, doceta y le da ese carácter callejero y orgánico a las obras, y Akut es quien trabaja los detalles, quien da volumen a las figuras, y le da ese carácter expresivo tan particular a los rostros de los personajes de sus pinturas.
Hera trabaja a brochazos y la pintura de spray, y Akut trabaja más al estilo aerógrafo, aunque use latas de sprays, y cuida mucho el detalle. Alternándose repetidamente logran dotar a sus obras de su estética tan particular, una que no sería posible sin el trabajo en equipo que caracteriza a esta dupla.
